There’s no denying the fact that children are a gift of God. But, unfortunately, we aren’t good at taking care of these gifts. There are millions of children who live in the streets, sleep without full stomachs, miss out on school, and work in dangerous environments, just to earn a daily wage.
The plight of children has been a huge source of concern, and there are millions of organisations all over the world who work day and night just to try and improve the situation a little bit. The services that some of them provide are quite praiseworthy, and they have also managed to capture the attention of the people all over the world.
Here are some of the best non-profit organisations around the world:
- Museum of Modern Art
- Human Rights Watch
- American Museum of Natural History
- United Nations Children’s Fund
- Doctors Without Borders
Similarly, there’s an award for World of Children, a global funding and recognition program which has been honouring the change makers for children around the world who help improve the lives of children who are vulnerable.
These are just some of the names around the world. There are thousands of other organisations around who work for the welfare of children. Some of the charities we left out include Invisible Children, Child Empowerment International, The Hunger Project, Maiti Nepal, and War Child.
Long road ahead
There is a very long way to go before these organisations will be able to achieve their true objective, which is to ensure the happiness and safety of children all over the world. But, for the time being, they have been able to do something which is a great start. Something is always better than nothing. A positive impact is more than enough as a starting point. So, what’s your plan?
